Dr Ashish MordiaMBBS, MD, FRANZCP
Dr Mordia is a General Adult Psychiatrist with special interest in treating mood and anxiety disorders and adult ADHD.He also routinely cares for common psychiatric conditions including Schizophrenia and Borderline Personality Disorder.
Apart from his private practice at Westside Consulting Suites, Dr Mordia is also an accredited psychiatrist at the Wyndham Clinic Private Hospital.
In his treatment approach, Dr Mordia incorporates various psychotherapeutic modalities of treatment apart from prescribing medication as required.
Originally trained in India, Dr Mordia came to Melbourne in 2001 as a visiting Academic Fellow with University of Melbourne and St Vincent Hospital in the field of Psycho-oncology. He has spent the last 23 years working in Australia in different combinations of Public and Private Sector Psychiatry in Acute, Community and Rehabilitation settings looking after adult population (18-65 years of age). He worked as Consultant Psychiatrist for Mercy Mental Health for two decades. He has also held adjunct lecturer position for School of Medicine University of Notredame. He is an accredited College supervisor for Psychiatry registrars and trainees. He has also successfully completed Impairment assessment training run by AMA Victoria and in his private practice, he provides regular clinical care and follow up for approved Work-Cover, TAC and DVA cases.
